History

Our ministry team started in October 1981, with five teen puppeteers and two adults. We decided to call ourselves Puppen für Christus after our German heritage. Our name translates to Puppets for Christ. Our first presentation was in December 1981, for the St. Lorenz Sunday School.

We have made over 1200 presentations to over 250,000 people, during these past 33 plus years, while traveling many thousands of miles. We share this very important message of God's Love and Salvation, both as in reach to St. Lorenz Congregation and as outreach to other congregations and communities throughout Michigan, 17 other states, and the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Puppen für Christus has given over 33 years of Service to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Forty-six former puppeteers attended the 20th year reunion. Three of the original five puppeteers, along with Mrs. Karen Rummel, the original director, were in attendance. The entire group performed "Thy Word". "Thy Word, is a lamp unto my feet and light onto my path." A fitting song, considering the words talk about our purpose, ministering to people the Saving Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and His Love for all.
